In the 1990s, a meta-analysis of internationally published data on semen quality among healthy men suggested that there had been a decline in sperm concentration over a period of 50 years. An updated comprehensive meta-analysis confirmed the downward trend. Recent studies showed that only one in four men had optimal semen quality, and consequently will most likely face a delay to father a child and another 15% are at risk of the need of fertility treatment.

To reduce the need for physicians’ intervention to treat infertility and in view of the available evidence that there is a positive correlation between seminal plasma L-carnitine concentration and the sperm count & motility, we designed this formula to provide patients with adequate Carnitine to support patients to maintain a healthy level of seminal plasma Carnitine. In our article on L-Carnitine, we indicated that low level of Carnitine reduces fatty acid concentrations within the mitochondria, leading to decrease energy production and potential alterations in sperm motility.

But the value of this formula is not because it provides the subfertile men with an adequate daily dose of Carnitine, but also, because it contains several other antioxidants, which include Maca, Ginseng, L-Arginine, Royal Jelly, Vitamin E, Zinc, Selenium and Folate,

In brief, the product could be an ideal formula for patients with low level of carnitine in their seminal plasma, specifically, when fewer than 32% of the sperm cells can move properly (asthenospermia). Nonetheless, the formula could be recommended for almost all subfertile men because it contains many ingredients that may improve the sperms quality.
