About Quality Medical Regulation Services
Quality Medical Regulations Services (QMRS) is a Canadian company, established in
2004, and operating from Ottawa, Ontario. It was established by Dr. Jalal
Mokhalalati who holds a Ph.D. degree in the field of human nutrition from University of London
(UK). Since his graduation in 1981, he wrote a number of books and scientific
papers, and he worked in various countries for different sectors, including an academic job.
In 2001, Dr. Mokhalalati retired from Abbott Laboratories and started his own consultation office in Canada to serve the Food and Drug industry.
Dr. Mokhalalati registered and approved consultant in the Canadian International
Development Agency (CIDA) database of consultants and he has been approved by
the “International HACCP Alliance” organization (USA), as a Lead Instructor to teach
HACCP programs.
With the support of his team, QMRS completed a number of professional services
projects locally (with the Canadian federal government and private sector) and
overseas. For example, we supported a number of companies in USA, UK, Australia,
India, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Mexico, and Brazil in activities pertaining to
Health Canada product licensing, drug GMPs and GDPs. And locally, we supported
Canadian importers and drug wholesalers to obtain HC site/establishment license
besides supporting the Canadian food industry in aspects related to the CFIA food
safety programs.
In fact, QMRS could be considered as one of a very few organizations in North
America that provide the Food and Drug industries with the needed documents
(procedures and policies) that pertaining to Drug GMPs, Medical Devices, Marihuana
for Medical Purposes Regulations (MMPR), Good Clinical Practices, and Food Safety
Preventive Programs to fulfill the applicable laws and regulations.
